May 2021 has turned out to be a watershed moment for RJ Brick Factory. An idea transformed into a reality. A transition from a normal convention to an innovation took place. The first ever fly ash brick factory unit was launched in the country already marred by thousands of brick kilns turning out to be a major environmental hazard. Unlike the traditional kiln based brick making technique, the fly ash bricks are made of fly ash and water. These bricks are cured for 24 hours in a 66 °C steam bath are then toughened with an air entrainment agent. As a result, these bricks can last for more than 100 freeze-thaw cycles. RJ Brick Factory is based in Mandira city on the outskirts of Rawalpindi. A state-of-art technology has been imported from China to set up the plant currently having a daily capacity of 12,000 units. RJ Brick Factory has become the market leader in Pakistan’s fly ash construction material.
